Corrections log
The vendor table records what was publicly visible on a stated check date. Sites change and mistakes happen. When a recorded value turns out to be wrong or stale, we fix the data, the score is recomputed on the next build, and the change is logged here with a date.
How to report an error
Send the four things that let us re-run the check without guessing:
- The vendor, as named in the table.
- The signal id, for example
coa_verifiable, from the methodology page. - The value you believe is correct: yes, no, or not checked.
- A URL where it can be seen, ideally the lab's own page or the document itself rather than a marketing claim.
Write to the writer with those details. Vendors are welcome to file on their own behalf. The evidence is judged against the same published rubric either way, and no commercial relationship with coaindex changes a signal or moves a score.
Policy
- Every applied correction is logged publicly on this page with the date it was applied, the signal changed, and the source that supported the change.
- Corrections are applied to the recorded evidence, not to the score. Scores are recomputed at build time from that evidence and are never edited by hand.
- A request we could not verify is not applied, and the signal stays as recorded. Where a signal is genuinely unresolvable it is published as "Not checked", which implies nothing about the vendor.
- Nothing is quietly deleted. If a value changes because the vendor's site changed rather than because we got it wrong, the entry says so.
